he even travels all over in his little rocket creation (which is very fascinating to Jack Skelley) and sends us postcards. How thoughtful of him, amiright ?
ok but all joking aside, we cleared quite a few birthdays last chapter and for a couple of minutes, the household was peaceful and in a comfortable rhythm
ok minus the occasional cooking fire since no one eats Jaxton's perfect-quality leftovers that he spends hours slaving over and instead tries to cook on the stove with level 1 cooking skill AHHHGABVDSOAN

Briar and Jax were busy living their best grandparent life and doting on all of the kiddos
well technically, Briar was still working in the stylist career (although we didn't really even need the money since Cas got into the workforce) so she didn't have as much free-time
but Jax quickly transformed into super-grandpa and became the self-appointed leader of after-school playtime at various parks
thanks to him, the kiddos pretty much accelerated through a lot of the childhood skills
and on this particular outing, they also ran into uncle Clarke. Surprising literally everyone, Clarke and Damien seemed to get along like a house on fire
so yes, basically the trio had become thick as thieves

since childcare was covered by the oldies, we'll turn our attention over to Casper who was spending pretty much all his time working and had now received quite a few shiny raises as a ghosthunter

(ps, if you're wondering what ever happened between her and Bryn, the game made it borderline impossible to ever locate her so she fell off the radar pretty quick)
she managed to terrify even Casper's unflappable temperament
and was annoyingly effective at blowing out all his fancy blessed candles

he was also increasingly servicing family members (since we have so many now) and on one job made it over to the Schaeffers in Mt. Komorebi for an exorcism
yes, that is elder Hannah cowering in the corner hehe. Sadly, Byrd had passed so we won't be seeing him, I'd just gotten the notification in game before Casper set out for this job
but he did get to meet this cutie!!!! Her name is Kaylin Schaeffer and she's Fletcher's first kid
god, they grow up way too fast!! especially when MCCC marries them off and knocks up their wife the second they turn into a young adult, amiright ?
oh and while we're on the subject, at some point along the way Casper had undergone a trait change from loner --> insider and from book lover --> adventurous which I think really fits his lifestyle more now as the party-throwing death-defying ghost-hunter
riding off the high of his ghost hunts and the fact that they had unlimited childcare, Cas and Harvey were right back to their woohoo shenanigans

whiiiich pretty much immediately knocked up Casper again. That's right, baby #4 on the way !!!
he ran downstairs to find someone to tell the good news to. Well...good news if you're not Harvey hahaha, good thing that Briar was there to be excited for them
as always, the sims ecosystem requires balance and upstairs in the playroom, we were losing a member of the family as Mr. Jack Skelley succumbed to old age

the family gathered around to watch their beloved pet cross over into the afterlife
which weirdly now comes with the silver lining of a visit from the twins' dad
very very odd vibes that we're cultivating this legacy tbh
later that evening, it was Derek's bday into toddlerhood
not sure why Jax looks so morose about it though....
Harvey celebrated by taking a naked nap out on the front porch

I also threw a toddler bed back into the nursery since the kids room was getting severely cramped. I'll probably do a more substantial remodel at some point but couldn't be bothered to spend a ton of time in build mode at the moment

ok so whatever trait you assigned to Derek in your head, lets just revise it to one of the chaotic ones because he is TROUBLE
constantly making messes, throwing his food all over the floor instead of eating it
even Cas, who was the most easy-going parent I've ever had started to get fed up with him
to escape some of the child stress before the new one arrived, I sent Cas and Harvey on a date to geekcon
predictably, they had an awesome time smashing all of the fancy holo-games on offer
and eating all the delicious festival food
although I think Harvey was a little butt-hurt that Cas placed in the blicbloc competition and he didn't, hehe
before we move on, I have to let you know that in the craziest, goopiest gag of all time that has happened in my story progression, Blythe (Briar's half-sister) and Devante (Jaxton's half-brother) are now MARRIED. They're both recently widowed with kids lmaoooo but I guess they met at a family event and rlly hit it off so good for them
I swear that MCCC is trying to outdo my own craziness sometimes
I'm obviously nosy af when it comes to my sim world so I immediately teleported over there to check things out. So here is Blythe and Devante looking blissful in love
and Graham and Vivian, Blythe's twins who have now aged up into teens. I for one am completely stunned by Vivian, she's freaking gorgeous
oh and here's a better angle of Graham. He's still quite a looker, if not completely as stunning as Vivian
but back to our main simmies because it was time for Briar's bday which we hosted down at an exclusive nightclub in San Myshuno
out of all my sims, Briar is the one who most deserves a huge rager as a sendoff into elderhood
speaking of, its cake time ladies and gents
thanks for being the best heir, Briar. We had a pretty awesome time together
for once in my game, most of the partygoers actually noticed her blowing out the candles and cheered on her transition

Briar just barely got to let loose on the dancefloor before the entire party was interrupted by a very familiar screaming sound...
that's right, Cas is in labor !! I rushed him and Harvey over to the hospital, leaving the party to fizzle out
Cas climbed into the scary laser machine to be operated on while Harvey continued his freak-out dance in the background
and out popped an adorable baby girl !!

awww at least Damien and Dahlia seemed to be excited about their new sibling
speeding right past the baby stage as Dakota aged up into an infant
she got the sunny trait and is so STINKIN ADORABLE
ok Casper has some weak genes because once again she has Harvey's skin color, hair color, and eye color
the nursery is starting to get overrun with all of the birth certificates and handprints 🥹
AND with the last baby aged up, here's the updated family photo of the completely full house
since she was an elder now, I had Briar call up the fashion studio and retire
she'd finished off her og aspiration at this point which was to have 30 friends (a while ago I downloaded a mod to replace all the aspirations and add a bunch of new ones that are more like sims 3 style)
so I gave her a special elder aspiration which is to spend her retirement painting
which is exactly what she did, mainly consisting of voyeur images of Jaxton which they hung above the vibrating heart bed
it also became a real bonding activity for her and Dahlia, who would sit and make crafts while Briar painted. The two were a lot alike and got on splendidly
Briar also spent a lot more time grandmothering, which she was an old pro at now
it was a very good thing that we had such involved grandparents this generation because Harvey was so constantly unhappy with all of the children
yep. it was especially bad with Derek for some reason, not sure why. Maybe it was the whole actually-his-kid-and-genetically-recognized-by-the-game thing
and you might be thinking at this point, rockannie why do you keep forcing kids on Harvey, knowing that they're making him miserable ? well the thing is that originally, Casper wanted like five kids which I was fully intent on making happen
buuuuuuuuuuuut he rolled being neutral about it after a particularly bad Dakota tantrum and I'm also feeling like this generation is going to be ten chapters long with that many hahah
ok tangent aside, since Harvey also didn't have a job or really contributed to kid raising, I had him doing all of the domestic labor around the house like cooking ! I even had Jax mentoring him
and passing down his mastery perks so we'd still have a top-notch chef around
and lets be honest, Harvey needed something to do besides glaring at the kids and drowning his sorrows
we haven't actually checked in on our eldests yet this chapter so without further ado:
Dahlia was enjoying school, Damien hated it
which meant his grades were tanking so now I had to micromanage all their sibling tutoring sessions
if anyone's forgotten, Casper was also quite the nerd back in the day and was more than happy to help Damien out with extra-credit science projects
errr....maybe he needs a break 0_o
but really, Damien was much more interested in his social life. He'd started a club called The Kool Kids, a club for super cool kids to hang out down at somewhere or another (and a reference to my past Star legacy which died with my old computer)
the club pretty much spent all their time together. Even going so far as to merge into one multi-headed, dozen-legged creepy sim !
no but seriously, why does the ladder on the treehouse glitch out so monumentally badly. Ig if its this or only being able to have one sim climb at a time I'll take this but....ick
pretty soon it was time for Derek's bday and we hosted a family party down at the renovated Oasis Springs park. Unfortunately, it was raining which kinda ruined the sunny day-in-the-park vibes
it was a lot of effort to try to get everyone to gather out in the rain so I just kinda gave up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ at least Derek had his dads cheering him on
hear the whooshing of the birthday tornado
he gained the loves the outdoors trait and the rambunctious aspiration
AND he is a major cutie, I'm feeling very confident about the looks in this generation
Derek wasted no time in joining The Kool Kids and getting to know his new club-mates. The pink-haired girl in this picture is named Petal Rico aaand I'm just now realizing none of the other ones are featured hah
obligatory family update, this is Hunter Schaeffer whose just recently aged up into a teen. I was so pumped when I saw Byrd's second carried on Hannah's pink hair !!
with THREE kids now, I had to throw in a bunk-bed to round out all our sleeping arrangements
and since I was already in build mode and I was tired of the backyard area looking like crap, I went ahead and remodeled a teeny bit

I'd kill to be a sim living in a house decorated by me
ok I didn't mean that literally, can you guys stop trying to set yourself to FREEZE yourselves to death 😐
I'm gonna have to take the pool away aren't I ? After I just spent all that time redecorating
with his new abilities to interact with objects, Derek first got to know Mr. Pokey
he and the other kiddos were also spending oodles of time at the park with The Kool Kids
(we introduced Petal already but the blue-haired boy is Aden Sheppard and the redhead is Thaddeus Black)
Dahlia was reigning supreme over at the games table
while Damien was tearing up the monkey bars
suffice it to say that things were going suspiciously well in the household right now
of course Grimmie just had to pay us a visit and ruin it all
the family dutifully gathered around to sob over Jaxton's body
and off he went into the sims afterlife. I'd say he lived a very full life as a legacy spouse
ohoho, whats this? not to be outdone, our old maid pretty much immediately also kicked the bucket. Jeez, its like a never-ending death parade around here sometimes
talk about a 2-in-1 job for Grimmie
oh no kids wait !!
yeah this is a gonna be a tough one to explain to Petal's parents, my bad
also WHY can we give a house key to the grim reaper but not my ghost family member that lives in world GAH. I have a bone to pick over this issue
Jax's funeral was scheduled for the next morning and basically the whole family showed up to grieve
Briar gave a beautifully moving speech about her best friend that she'd basically never been without
and then everyone dutifully sobbed outside next to his burial site
and now, as if things couldn't get any worse (I'm SO embarrassed), clearly I'm not that great at taking care of a full household because for the second time, I completely forgot to feed their little rodent pet and Mr. Pokey died
I wanted to spare the kiddos the heartbreak so I speedily replaced him with another hedgehog before they all woke up and named him Mr. Pokey II
Long live, buddy, long live
the next morning, it had somehow become birthday bonanza. Cas is aging up into an adult, Damien and Dahlia are aging up into teens and Dakota is aging up into a toddler wahoo !!
I had Harvey pumping out bday cakes like he's a contestant on the Great Afterlife Baking Show
we're going in birth order so first up was Cas
I can't believe he's an adult already, this has truly been one of the most fun and entertaining runs I've ever had with an heir in young adulthood
oh yeah, he's still quite the smexy sim, I don't think Harvey will have any complaints
next up was the main event: Dahlia and Damien !!!!
let's see how the genes are turning out this generation shall we ? Gosh, I'm a little nervous

I'm sure you've noticed a couple of alpha hairs sneaking their way into some photos, I've been experimenting trying to figure out what direction I want to in with my hair aesthetic so just ignore that LOL, eventually it'll all get figured out I just haven't decided yet (oh yeah if you have any awesome creators for either or just any thoughts about which one you use, leave me ur thoughts)
before we could get to Dakota, our maid trotted out to the porch and died AGAIN
what, are they using freaking cursed Windex or something
ok back to the festivities ! although I was totally distracted by the twins socializing with their dad so I kinda missed getting a pic of Dakota blowing out her candles
didn't miss the sparklies though !!

actually banger after banger this generation with the kids looks, we chose some real good baby daddies
literally about 2 seconds later, Harvey was declared unstable and contracted the like fiery passion ailment, I think its called. I had just gotten Enchanted by Nature before opening up the save for the bday party haha and this was right when it was released so ailments were completely haywire (let's be honest, they still are)
ig it makes sense tho since he gets very distraught anytime he has to focus on the kids and some other sim in his family had died. Maybe his sister? Idk, but I totally got a notification that someone on his side of the family died
anyways I didn't want this chapter to spiral out of control like last time so I think this is where I'm gonna leave off. As always I'll see you next time, xo rockannie
