Hello dear readers and welcome back to another chapter with the Stele's.
We started off pretty slow last time, really spending some time with sweet Sav and getting to know her but buckle up cuz this chapter is gonna move fast and its a loooong one
Overnight, winter has swept through Hidden Springs and covered the world in a blanket of snow. Tbh, I am really loving the vibe of little our hut with twinkly lights
Sav for one has been fully taking advantage of the wintery weather
and she's been spending quite a bit of her (limited) off time experiencing all of the fun activities down at the winter festival
On one such occasion while skating around, a particular sim on the rink caught her eye. Of course, Sav figured she should go up and introduce herself to the stunning sim
His name was Zebulon Cox and the two hit it off almost immediately.
Sav couldn't remember the last time that a sim had made her laugh like this. She was normally pretty introverted and got tired from interacting with other sims but there was just something about Zebulon, she never got tired of being with him
They whiled away the evening hours together just goofing around
Even as the sun set and the park was plunged into darkness, the two sims continued to build snowmen together late into the evening
Sav was up bright and early the next morning, ready to solve cases and help the citizens of Hidden Springs.
But try as she might to focus on her work, the only thing on her mind was Zebulon
Their meeting had been short but impactful and Sav couldn't stop thinking about him. Her palms were sweating every time she thought of him and she'd lost her appetite. She'd never felt this way before, not about any sim.
Seriously its not just for the storyline, ever since she'd met him, Sav had been rolling wishes to flirt and kiss Zebulon and get to know him better. The gal is obsessed
That afternoon, Sav was invited to a birthday party of a friend/client of hers which she felt inclined to show up to
and lookie who else had shown up the party
the two chatted and flirted up a storm, getting along just as easily as they had at the park and at this point both sims were starting to feel something stronger towards each other
...i think Sav was making that more than apparent lmao. Maybe just a tad less creepy staring yea?
sadly both of their meetings have been on the short end as Sav was exhausted and had to leave the party early
after all, the stressful action-packed job as Hidden Springs premier private investigator really wears a sim out
in other news, we are still eating our meals off the toilet....again the investigator is not a high paying career lmao
The next night, Sav invited Zebulon out to a local cafe. She'd had enough beating around the bush and wanted to ask him to make things official, hoping and praying that he felt the same way she did
As she looked up into his eyes her nerves were insane. But she knew this sim was all she'd ever wanted and she'd spent too much of her life dedicated to her work and neglecting her personal life
And so she just went for it

Now I was just about to have Sav pop the question and move things along but Zebulon took the kiss and then immediately ran off
This is turning into the longest romance I've ever had in any sims play through simply because these two can't seem to stay in the same place lmao
While Zebulon was proving incredibly difficult to track down for a couple days, Sav returned full force to her work
and to the constant upkeep of the sh!tty fixtures in her hut
whiiiich speaking of has finally gotten an expansion and makeover. The investigative grinding is paying off at least a little bit lol
enough to finally have a stove to cook things on !
And everything seemed to be coming into place as after a couple days, Sav finally managed to get Zebulon to appear and come over for a date night at her place.
Mmmm flowers and raw meat, the perfect romance combo
Sav had been in the middle of cooking dinner when he arrived but it was forgotten as soon as she was in his arms
and they retreated back to the bedroom for some much needed privacy...
if you catch my drift
after *ahem* connecting, the two had worked up quite an appetite and returned to their dinner date which consisted of a delicious plate of goopy carbonara. You know, the perfect romantic date food lol
would he be her boyfriend?
and of course, he said yes :)
and as this is the sims and we've already spent a bit more time than I'd like tracking Zebulon down, Sav wasted no time in also asking him to move in which he gladly agreed to
and he got this cute little makeover as a new member of the household !
I'll take this moment to tell you his traits: Vehicle Enthusiast, Clumsy, Perfectionist, Animal Lover, Frugal.

that morning also marked the first day of spring in Hidden Springs which feels very fitting just as Sav welcomes in a new romance into her own life
and you can finally see the cute outside of our little house !
As we are eternally struggling for money in this household, I had Zebulon take a teaching job at the local school straight away
and the couple soon fell into a comfortable rhythm. Work hard during the day to earn those simoleans and then come home at night and fall into each others arms
a couple of days later, it was Zebulon's birthday and naturally we had to throw a nice big dance party to mark the occasion with all of their closest friends
Welcome to adulthood, Zeb ! Lookin spiffy as ever
Whenever Zebulon had free time from his actual paying job he was rescuing all kinds of animals around the neighborhood
For the most part he sold them to various stores to pay the bills but sometimes he kept one like this raven here
So everyone please welcome to the household our new raven affectionately named: The Expansive Emptiness
Him and Zebulon are the bestest of friends
and because Zebulon can't just be satisfied with one adorable addition to the household (seriously he's rolling wishes to adopt animals like there's no tomorrow lol), everyone please also welcome Elmer Stele, he has the piggy and lazy traits

the next day it was Sav's birthday and entry into adulthood. No birthday would be complete without a party with all your closest friends so that's exactly what I had in store for Sav
everyone danced and drank and had a great time and then it came time to cut the cake, but oddly I couldn't find the option for Sav to blow out the candles...
and then everything became clear
That's right folks, the first baby of Gen 2 is on the way ^_^
Zebulon was understandably psyched when Sav told him the big news
and the days of the pregnancy passed in relative peace as Sav and Zebulon got to know their new furry friends
Before I knew it, Love Day rolled around and Zebulon took a heavily pregnant Sav out to the Spring Festival for a romantic afternoon date
As they played horse shoes Zebulon waited to find an opening for the real reason behind their romantic date: he planned to propose
but as per usual, timing is always perfect in the sims and Sav promptly went into labor
she then proceeded to drive herself and Zebulon to the hospital lmao. Seems like a safety hazard to me but who am I to say
and after a lot of huffing and pushing, Sav walked out with a new healthy baby bouncing boy,
Jac Stele
his traits are Loves the Heat and Slob
Back at home, Sav put the baby down and immediately headed to the keg
And then she hopped into her car and zoomed off to do some investigative work. I think its safe to say that motherhood isn't exactly her interest
Luckily for Jac though, his father is a very committed parent and spends most if not all of his time off work caring for his son
Sav was spending so much time out of the house that I actually completely forgot about her birthday and she aged up in this the darkness of the closed salon with this random sim
oops. to be fair though, she did technically have a birthday party days ago
let me just defend myself by saying that I am an idiot and did not even think about the fact that cats would in fact attack birds in this game -_-
RIP The Expansive Emptiness, you will be missed
And as the baby stage is very short, in just a wink it was time for Jac to age up
and here he is all made over and such
He is such a dang cutie ! and takes completely after his mom in all coloring. She's clearly got some strong genes
we're not exactly rolling the dough but we had just enough to furnish a pretty basic nursery with all the toys and enrichment that little Jac needs
Around this time, I realized that it was getting annoying to care for Jac with both adults working and since Sav was making more money since buying some perks, Zebulon was all clear to quit his teaching career
Plus it gave him lots more time to rescue more animals around the world
That is, when he wasn't busy at home taking care of Jac and teaching him all the life skills that he needs to succeed as an adult sim
speaking of Jac, ever since the baby had been born, Zebulon felt like Elmer had been lonelier with less attention going his way. And there's really only one solution for a lonely pet...
meet Snickers Stele
after two seconds of meeting each other, the kitties have become the best of friends and ran all around the lot chasing each other
that night it was Elmer's birthday
but never fear, elmer's transition into adulthood did nothing to dampen the kitties best friendship
elsewhere, Sav had earned yet another award for solving a kidnapping case and rescuing 3 sims !
and later that day, my screen ricocheted across town as Sav popped out another baby bump
Baby #2 on the way ! Here's hoping for some of dad's coloring this time lol
Ever the present father, Zebulon was naturally super duper excited about the impending arrival
At this point Summer was well underway and what better time than that to take a family beach day at the nearby coast ?
Sav and Jac played on the shoreline while Zebulon took a deeper swim into the blue waters
awwwwww literally so cute
eventually the family got all pruny and tired out and retired to the picnic that Zebulon had set up earlier for a late lunch. Yummmmm
As the afternoon passed, Jac was put down for his nap and our cute couple went back to the waterside for a romantic sunset viewing
...or at least that's what Sav had thought
In truth, Zebulon had been intending to do this for a long time but kept getting his plans spoiled and so as the sun dipped below the mountains and the colors turned into the orangish-pink hue, Zebulon told Sav every detail of everything he loved about her
and then he asked her to marry him
Suffice it to say, she said yes :)
And then well, they set off to celebrate the only way that sims know how
In the middle of the night, Sav was lured outside by these beautiful strange lights
and promptly abducted *snickers*
I mean, oh no you poor dear :( there wasn't much to worry about though because she was returned a few hours later, just slightly upset about the probing lol
and the next morning, Sav went into labor (maybe the probing did do something lol)
and following the tradition in this house, the sim in labor drives everyone else to the hospital
alright everyone, this is what I believe to be the last arrival in this chapter

Back at home, Jac's birthday was rapidly approaching and as such Zebulon made it a priority to teach him his skills
While Sav preferred a different method of connecting with her son
That afternoon, little Snickers aged up to an adult kitty !!
And speaking of birthdays, it's a double whammy as Jac and Orion are both aging up today, first starting with Jac
And here he is all child sized and cute !!
He got the Kleptomaniac trait
Next, onto Orion
And all madeover, ahhh he's so cute
I have to say I'm a little disappointed he didn't get any of dad's coloring but he's a frickin cutie so how can I complain
He got the traits Heavy Sleeper and Loner
