BUT I have a new desktop and have returned to Sims 3 in all its glory and thought it would be a perfect time to start yet another legacy ^_^
My game is modded up and I am ready to once again play around with my sims and their crazyness with no real goals or rules for the legacy at all lmao
So without any further ado......
Meet our founder, Sav Stele
Her traits are Workaholic, Handy, Perceptive, Schmoozer and Athletic and her LTW is Pervasive Public Eye which is basically solving a bunch of cases in the Investigator career
Once I was all done making Sav from nothingness she moved into this absolutely gorg 30x40 lot in Hidden Springs
Speaking of, can we talk about how freakin beautiful Hidden Springs is! I'm seriously in love gah
Also, I've had this world for like literal years and don't think I've ever played it so I'm super excited to explore it with Sav and her descendents
I immediately sent Sav on her way down to the local library to find a job as we are respecting the tradition of starting with literally 0 Simoleans in the bank
Also quadruple rainbow all the way across the sky !!
Once at the library, Sav hopped on the computer and quickly secured a job with the local force as a private investigator
I'd say she was pretty excited about it haha
After she finished up on the computer, Sav headed on over to the local disco tech to hopefully meet some other sims and mingle. Maybe even get some free food as we can't afford to feed ourselves and I did not realize being an Investigator only pays weekly 0_0
oops
And who else do we find at the disco tech other than part of the Scooby gang haha. Bonus points if you can say who is who although I think it's pretty easy
Before starting, I had emptied out all the Hidden Springs townies and replaced them with my own pre-mades. So hopefully that'll go a long way in reducing potato faces lol
As a new sim in town, Sav obviously had to go introduce herself to Velma and Shaggy
I would say that her and Shaggy hit it off pretty well
And she spent the rest of the afternoon chatting and playing foosball with Velma
Side note: how beautiful is the view from this rooftop
ok ok I'll shut up about how gorg everything in this world is *-*
Sav had a great time mingling with part of the mystery gang but after failing at securing any free food, she was rapidly going from hungry to starving and so I sent her up to the Hidden Springs gym
but when she went in I realized that there isn't any free food here either ughhhh. It's hard out here when you don't know the world and how to finess all of the free things out of it
there is however a coffee maker
but Sav had a bit of a difficult time with that
lmao no comment
eventually she did manage a get a nice good free cup of joe without suffering any severe burns. It staved away a bit of the hunger and with a sharper head Sav knew that she had to earn some Simoleans right away
And she knew just how to do it

Wildly, in about two sim minutes these two mfers turned up conveniently right in front of her and started acting super sketch
And then they did something that looked eerily like the sim version of buying drugas lmao
Sav eagerly vacated the crime scene and ran to the library to make a report about it.
And we got 250 Simoleans!! Yes, literally our first money of the game and we can finally afford a bed and some food maybe
Sav and her rumbling tummy ran over to the local diner to celebrate immediately
And as she arrived home that night, we were able to sell the (dumb) portal and university goodie bag lmao which to some might be cheating but to me just feels like staying true to the game however unbalanced it may be lmao
And whalaah, just like that we have a teeny tiny white 'house'
Good night Sav !
The next morning she was up early and headed straight to the police station to find a case so we can earn some more moolah and maybe get a toilet at some point soon lol
And just like that, Sav was off around town to do some true investigative work and solve the mystery !
The days in sim time raced away as Sav worked cases around Hidden Springs and raced her way up the career ladder
She always started her cases by speaking to the sims that hired her
And those sims came from all over town...
...and all sides of town...
...turns out everyone has drama, even the kids of Hidden Springs. Although I'll jump in here and say that this particular case ended up just being a massive prank on Sav o_o
the lesson here is to beware of sims 3 child hooligans lol
After getting all the deets on her case, Sav sets off to collect evidence from all over town
and she is much more committed to her case than I would be
ewwwww lol
but not a single trashcan,
or mailbox goes unlooked through,
and like any good investigator Sav is willing to stalk, erm, I mean, stake-out any and everyone her client instructs her to
and her stalking, sorry, investigating takes her all over Hidden Springs
although some locations turn out better for hiding than others
...erm maybe try not to look suspicious outside the school, Sav lol
but Sav is never afraid to hide in plain sight if a location calls for it and is so amazingly good at being so still that no sim ever sees her
and every once in a while she'll pick an actual good hiding spot
for her first few cases, stakeouts were enough for Sav to solve the case and save the day
but now that she's rising in the ranks as an investigator, often times Sav needs to pull out her trusty magnifying glass and snoop around town for clues
I'm told that these flowers ended up being key informants in the case that she was investigating at the time
and all of Sav's hard work soon started paying off as she was able to build more onto her still teeny-tiny house
Although I feel the need to note here the Investigator career does NOT pay handsomely lmao. Sav spends so much of her time solving cases she barely has time to take care of herself much less socialize. She still doesn't even have a stove :(
but she does have a brand new toilet (!) to eat all of her quick meals from the fridge on. Truly the height of luxury in this game lol
not only that but our girl is raking in the awards and accolades from the town hall of Hidden Springs
Here she is with some globe thing that she got for solving three cases
and some other medal for solving a missing persons case I believe ?
AND as if that wasn't fun enough, she got a wicked new red investigators coat with her promotion. Ngl she looks less like an investigator and more like a london influencer but I dig it anyways lol
She's also hilariously gained the ability to lockpick and break into peoples homes to gather evidence and dust for fingerprints
this time in particular, someone came home and caught her in the act hahaha
and lets just say that dear Sav did not take their criticisms well. Tbh not exactly sure what her argument would be, someone hired me to break in so you can't be mad ?
In typical sims fashion and with some intervention by yours truly, Sav back tracked and was still able to get invited into their home to look around
she headed straight to the living room and got busy dusting for fingerprints
and snooped all through their backyard for clues
meanwhile, back at home we're being robbed :(
oh except that's when I noticed the repo person had chosen to go after only our imaginary objects. Maybe there is a sims god after all lol
regardless, I took hold of the situation and made sure that Sav immediately paid the next bills. We are a non-repo person household (except the repo person will probably definitely be back lol)
with Sav's career on the rise and finally being having a stable amount of Simolean flow, she realized that she didn't have very many connections with other sims and figured that a night out at the local disto tech could help to remedy that
Sadly, the Sims 3 curse took over and there weren't all that many sims out, but Sav still took the opportunity to drink,
and shimmy,
and take some super cute photos at the photo booth
which if you were curious here you can see close-up. They aren't the best quality but that's just how the photobooth photos are ingame haha
Sav also hit up the Fall festival as it rolled through town. She had a great time trying out all of the festival food,
going through the haunted house,
and joining in the apple bobbing competition
but even though she was having a great time, Sav was very aware of how alone she was in the world at this time of year. Estranged from her non-existent birth family and without really any close family or friends in the Hidden Springs world, she realized at that moment that she wanted to have a family and those close connections
without realizing it, Sav ended up back at the disco tech for another drink
and as she sipped at it, Sav worked on her plan for how to set up her legacy
