Rockannie Sims: The Alphabet Alphabetacy -- Chp. 9: Honey, I Moved In with the Undead

hellooo party people, I hope you're all strapped in for the ride

we left off last time with both our boys aged up into the next life stage

once aged up, Cas immediately jumped into some spookier hobbies, like messing around with the seance table and trying to talk to his dead ancestors. He's always had a flair for the ghostly side of life (probably since he was raised by one)

but his new hobbies went better some times than others

the worse being the ghosts getting a little pissed and turning off all the lights in the house then threatening Cas' life 0_0

on the safer side (at least I hope), he also got a super nifty new tarot deck that he was constantly pulling cards from

i do not think this particular reading went too well hahhahahha

the next morning it was Cas' first day of highschool and he looked downright miserable about it, poor muffin

ah yes, a raging werewolf in a crop-top, a staple in every high school experience really

equally as shocking, Cas was actually socializing with his peers which I had not seen coming at all

for a sim who had zero friends as a kid he sure was a social butterfly now

but of all the sims, his very best friend was this gal Aya Kato

they bonded over a shared love for the occult and all of the spookier things in life

and they were on the chess team together (well as much as they could be considering you can't actually attend team practices, booooooooo EA)

oh there were also some familiar faces like Casper's half-brother, Jamal (oh yeah he has one of those whoops 😅 his bio dad, he-who-shall-not-be-named, apparently had a son with his wife just a little before his affair with Briar)

I thought I had a better pic but he's the guy to the right of Cas here. They don't really look anything alike hahhaa

oh and his...step-half-uncle? idk, its Jaxton's half-brother, Devante Harris who also doesn't seem to share a lot of resemblance to Jax lmao

(psst, if you start getting confused just take a look at the family tree on the chapter index)

and when he wasn't working on his logical skill or encountering unknown relatives, Cas was spending most of his time in the library searching for ghost lore to advance his medium studies

surprise, we also got a kitty!!!! Jax is like obsessed with animals so I finally gave in and got the household another pet, this little guys name is Jack Skelly tehehe

yanno I would get more pets but since they add to the household limit they really restrict how many sims I can have which PISSES ME OFF, why do they add to the limit and yet are still uncontrollable *grumbles*

anyways, new years eve had rolled around so there was only one possible outcome

and if you had guessed a big party with all the fam invited you would be correct 😄

little Fletch had aged up into a kid and he seemed like quite the terror LOL poor Connan

but besides the brat show, everyone else seemed to have a wonderful time waiting for the ball to drop

BAD Jaxton and Connan !! -_- go to opposite corners of the house NOW

alright I'm gonna make Fletcher come back and yell at you two

while we've been focusing on Casper, our other more permanent teen* has been out exploring the more ghostly side of Ravenwood

*this footnote is here to inform you that due to the weirdness of dating as an eternally teenage ghost, I’ve actually technically aged Bryn up to a young adult oops

which on one particular afternoon was how she ran into a bunch of ghosts causing chaos out in the woods

not sure if it was some sort of glitch but obviously Bryn didn't seem to care and jumped right into the chaos-causing festivities

ok yeah definitely a glitch HAH, the chaos puddles built up so much none of the ghosts could move without slipping and falling on their butts LOL

after I finished cracking up at my screen I had to reset Bryn back to the house to finally get her out of there bahahahha. I think the funniest part was that Bryn made like five new enemies because of all the tricks she was pulling even though THEY WERE ALL DOING THE SAME EXACT THING

oh and meanwhile Jax has decided to try to off himself in the freezing pool. oh sims, shall I count the ways how I love thee

when not engaging in organized ghost crime, Bryn spent quite a lot of time visiting with the Weeping Mother at her tree

which of course led to more gallivanting to complete a quest for the mysterious sad mommy to find her kids. If I remember correctly, this little guy was Freddy

it included some trips through the local crypts too

and completely unrelated to questing, she was enjoying getting closer with the local ghost cowplant just down the road

oh and who could forget her part-time gig of helping Cas out with some of his seances, busy ghost gal

she also had a somewhat thriving social life, mostly with the undead. That evening she decided to throw a huge party for them down at the bluffs to cross it off her bucket list, inviting her bestie Esther personally

you know the drill by now, my simself was djing, duh

the party was a-bumpin, drinks a-flowin

it was nice to complete a bucket list item but as the night went on, Bryn found herself enjoying Esther's company much much more than the achievement

the next afternoon, it was already time for Clarke to age up

he had been absolutely doted on by Jax his entire toddlerhood so I'm hoping these traits come out good *crosses fingers*

obvs we threw a nice party for the occasion with some of the extended family

and let's seeeeeeee how he turns out

ah...I mean he's cute

he is cute. he's very very cute.........

alright who am I kidding, he's gonna be pretty funny looking when he's older *sigh*. This was the reason I didn't want Briar and Jax to have kids ! I mean I know Briar loves him and all but Jax isn't exactly the hottest sim that's ever graced my screen.....ah well, goofy sims are still loved in this household

once aged up, Clarke and Jax spent even more time together and had the absolute cutest father-son relationship. Turns out all his special attention had been for naught tho because Clarke rolled the slob trait and honestly is just not all that great or interested in most things

I do have to give him some credit where its due because he made way more friends than usual for my simmies and he ended up joining the League of Adventurers buh bowwww

the group specialized in epic playdates and spaceship adventures

he also got to know a couple of his cousins better as both Maeve and Fletcher were already members of the club (welllll....kindof cousin for Maeve lol. She's the granddaughter of Ayoze and Penny and so technically is not related to Briar or her kids but is halfsiblings with Clarke's halfsiblings...yeah if you're confused, just go take a look at the family tree hehe)

turning back to news of our resident teen, high school was going splendidly

he, Aya, and his other bestie Zayne were still killing it at chess club

and his free tarot readings were surprisingly doing numbers impressing the ladies

he had just enough time left over to spend some time up on the roof working on his logic skill like the little nerd that he was

it shouldn't come as a surprise that he was actually like an A student AND had tons of friends but neither of those are something my sims usually achieve oops

which is also to say he's quite the odd duck who sometimes showed up to school in his speedo, yanno crazy genius and all that

...you are very strange, Casper

one sim all his weirdness didn't seem to deter was this guy, Harvey Alcala

they became best friends pretty much immediately, quickly spending all of their time together

which extended to outside of school too

on this particular outing though, they were chaperoning the Adventurers League down at Hare Park

well they were supposed to be but Casper had some other, more interesting plans in mind ;D

he'd been crushing on Harvey for a while but hadn't quite worked up the courage to make a move until now. Thankfully Harvey had been yearning for him just as hard teehee

naturally some kissin' followed

and Cas quickly asked him to be his boyfriend

ah yes I'd say the two were smitten kittens

when not seducing his new boyfriend, Cas had also been spending a lot of time at the seance table which was starting to yield some interesting results

WE GOT BONEHILDA LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO

oh how I've missed my favorite skeleton maid

and because the sims just loves to inconvenience me, Briar then aged up less than an hour before her birthday party was scheduled to start

here she is as a full-fledged adult with pretty much no change haha

the party was already all planned so pretty soon lots of family started to arrive

i guess this blue-purple cape outfit is the pregnant lady uniform

For once, Bryn wasn't harassing our guests as she was far too busy playing around with her brand new bar we'd renovated in the hallway

oh and before I forget, Fletcher aged up into a teen ! He definitely inherited his parent's good looks hehe

yea so there were no candles to blow out but everyone enjoyed the party nonetheless

well except for Bryn who was busy scaring Grimmie down the road LOL

well at least we could count on Briar to be a mature adult sim after her age up. All of her hard work had finally resulted in a promotion and she was finally an actual style influencer yayyyyyyyyyy

but all that workin' hard also meant that she was super burnt out and her relationship with Jaxton had completely taken a back burner

also I guess we got lucky last gen with all our kiddos being such good friends because Casper and Clarke are not exactly getting along well lately 😐

soooo what else could we do except plan a family (plus Harvey) vacay to Granite Falls !

the fam quickly launched into various vacationy activities like horseshoes

and grilling the afternoon away. Even though it was annoyingly rainy, clearly Jaxton didn't bother checking the weather reports

but a little drizzle couldn't stop their family campfire nights where they told lots of spooky stories

and Briar and Jax spent the vacation spending some much needed time reconnecting

hilariously, after their night of passion Briar immediately fell into a severe midlife crisis

which is how she ended up looking for frogs in the middle of the night and completely grossing herself out because she is SQUEAMISH 😭

the next logical move would be to go chat up some random hot dude who's not your partner in your underwear and naturally that's what Briar decided to do !

of course we sent Jax over to break that up gawd

despite all the midlife mental break shenanigans, the two had been enjoying a lovely couple days together and Jax finally got around to doing something long overdue

I know, I know, it's super late on the draw but I actually lowkey forgot they weren't already married oops

another sweet couple having some bonding time were Cas and Harvey

and they're SWEEETTTT

seriously, I can barely watch them without cheesin'

on almost the opposite note, Clarke is really turning into the black sheep of the family because of his BAD stinkin attitude. He just continuously picks fights with everyone and he's not even evil or mean spirited hes just a slob so what gives !!

we're already well-acquainted with the fact that he and Casper have been having some problems

~~because Clarke is a rude little brat who likes to relentlessly bully him~~

huh who said that? did anyone else hear that? ah well, moving on

oh and who could've seen this coming (/s) but he and Bryn (the other meanie) HATE each other's guts, like they literally have the worst relationship possible

actually crazy that Bryn has stooped to beefing with a literal child but he does suck sooooooo

eventually I had to banish him to go fish alone so the rest of the household could actually RELAX *grumbles* really hoping his attitude improves as a teen

onto cuter vacation hobbies, I recently discovered you could bake and decorate weddings cakes ahhhh ! I'm assuming that came with wedding stories and I just didn't notice amongst the dumpster fire

the fam ended the last night of their vacation with a cookout

(p.s. after their vacay finished, I saw someone talking about adding like a stables small business to granite falls for horse rides and OMG what a good idea, we're going back immediately)

and arrived home just in time for Clarke's age up into a teen !!

ok fine you caught me, I got stuck with a cake half-baked when we got kicked out of Granite Falls. Damn Sim-bnbs and their extremely strict check out times *shakes fist*

btw, he got the bro trait and the fabulously wealthy aspiration

can't wait to marry him off to an unsuspecting townie

the very next afternoon, it was time for Briar and Jaxton's wedding which was set to take place at this beautiful beach location in Brindleton Bay

the ceremony was just as sweet and loving as the couple was

and as goofy seeing as they bonked heads trying to kiss

they still got it in the end tho ;D

I try not to push the game too much with weddings anymore so everyone spent the rest of the evening busting it down on the dance floor

sweetly, Briar and Jax were having their own private first dance on the patio outside

and I was spending my time ~~stalking~~ following around my fav sims from the extended family since there were a ton of them now

oh and Cas' friends who showed up. Sadly, Aya had aged up a bit ago and abandoned Cas at the high school so they hadn't seen each other in a bit

ah Bryn we can always count on you for un-ladylike behavior

and just like real life, pretty soon the teens had formed their own table to gossip about all the boring adults

but those boring adults managed to keep bustin it down late into the night to close out the wedding

and minus Blythe, the siblings also closed out the night chatting and hanging out

I know babe, I wouldn't want to take off a dress that beautiful either

buh buh BUHHHHHH

er, I think the phrase goes ‘something borrowed’ not something STOLEN you little *grumbles*

as the man of the house, Jax immediately ran downstairs to deal with the threat

yeah that's right punk, mess with the Alphabets I dare ya !

oh thank you officer, what sensational timing *bombastic side eye*

oh and since the whole fam had been woken up by the commotion, Clarke went to make himself a midnight snack and set himself on fire

we should really just have auto-fire extinguishers installed on the ceilings at this point

after that night of excitement, the next morning the simmies were up early for a day of fun family activities in the summer weather

the first stop was a brand-new state-of-the-art gym over in Newcrest

the one thing I do really miss about the last house was the huge home gym *sob*

hahahahahhahaha

Bryn also managed to run into Byrd and a very-pregnant Blythe, yanno it's just been ages since we've seen them hahah

as the afternoon winded down, they all headed out to their second location of their day out, the pier carnival down in Copperdale

Clarke and Cas (not pictured haha) ran off to grab some ice cream and freeze their brains away

while Jaxton and Briar were off to a more adventurous ride

ew on the day out with your kids guys ? Eeesh

the next day, it was Clarke's first day of high school and Casper's last *sob*

since most of Cas' friends have aged up already, he spent the day studying

and I didn't even get any classroom pics of the two of them bc Clarke skipped off to play foosball

and to yell at the vending machine

oh for fack's sake, my sims are a mess

as I'm sure you've guessed, that night it was Casper's bday into an adult so of course we threw him a very nice party to mark the occasion

even Trashley showed up !

but oh, the weird didn't stop there !

Maeve decided that night was the perfect opportunity to come on to her pseudo-cousin. I mean, they aren't technically related but like still...blegh

luckily Casper is gay so he was pretty unmoved by the whole thing

trying our best to forget what just happened, let's focus in on Cas actually blowing out his candles woooo

should I be more concerned about the kitty about to light themself on fire while sleeping....ah well, I'm sure it'll be fine

he got the bookworm trait and his aspiration is to complete like 12 paranormal investigations

oh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

you know I wasn't completely sold by him as a teen but the age up totally un-goofyfied his face

almost immediately after joining his beau, Harvey, in young adulthood, Cas asked him to move in and he readily accepted

before I forget, his traits are socially awkward, hates children, and lactose intolerant. Aspiration is master mixologist

Wow, so just insanely solid for the spouse of a legacy heir huh /s

seriously though, never in my entire time of playing the sims have I seen a sim with such incredibly useless traits so kudos to the game for cooking him up

and while the lovebirds were making plans for the future, Bryn had finally reached her breaking point

all the ghostly screaming sent our guests running in panic and quite a few passed out in the backyard

everything Bryn had been feeling since she'd died tore out of her. It hadn't been enough to just see her siblings grow up and move on with their lives without her, have the children that she'd never get to. No, she'd been able to bare that, no matter how she had to take it out on the sims around her

But the nephew that she'd cared for his entire life? Now he was moving on without her too and that was too much for any ghost. So she utterly and completely lost it
